Pricing comparison · By GITEROUTE Editorial · Updated October 22, 2026
Compare press release distribution pricing by the deliverable your team receives, not the cheapest number on the page. The right purchase has a clear publication format, approved article scope, review process, points treatment and delivery record. GITEROUTE lets you inspect current service listings and build a selection before submitting the work, making the comparison easier to understand and approve.
Use current GITEROUTE platform pricing alongside the media catalogue. The price page explains the purchase framework; the individual listing tells you what a particular service costs and includes.

Decide what you are actually buying
“Distribution” can describe several different purchases. A source release is the original article published on a platform or company website. A third-party article placement needs a separate external publication. A link insertion or brand mention changes the scope again. Social publishing has its own account, materials and fulfillment rules.
Write the service type next to every quoted line item. If two proposals describe different work, their headline prices are not a fair comparison. Buying a low-cost mention and expecting a complete guest article creates an avoidable dispute; a useful quotation makes the distinction obvious before purchase.
Compare a bundle line by line
| Cost component | Question to ask | What a usable answer looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Article preparation | Who writes and approves the text? | A defined writing or customer-supplied-content scope |
| Market adaptation | Is language review included? | The required version and responsible approver |
| Publication | Which service and format are selected? | A current listing with clear delivery notes |
| Images or video | What must the customer supply? | Specific materials and permission requirements |
| Revisions | What happens if the article needs changes? | A visible review and revision process |
| Points | When are points reserved, charged or returned? | The transaction rule for that service |
| Report | How is actual delivery recorded? | Item-level status and actual publication links |
Use this table to identify missing work before comparing totals. It also gives your finance or procurement team a clearer approval record: what was requested, which costs were accepted and which deliverables still require a separate quote.
Understand Credits without inventing a currency conversion
GITEROUTE displays platform service prices in Credits. Check the current top-up terms and the exact service price at the time of purchase. A promotional first-paid-top-up offer and a normal future top-up are different contracts, so do not assume that a promotional package establishes a permanent dollar-to-Credit exchange rate.
An agency engagement can also involve strategy, writing or campaign preparation outside a catalogue purchase. Keep that proposal separate from the platform’s line-item Credit total. This prevents a useful comparison from becoming misleading when one provider includes substantial preparation and another quotes only the publication service.
Know the difference between a reservation and a direct purchase
For the conventional staff-reviewed media workflow, the selected services determine the required Credits. Submission reserves the amount while the article is reviewed; approval and source publication convert the applicable reservation into spent Credits. Rejection or cancellation releases the applicable reserved amount under that workflow.
Social service codes use the approved direct-purchase model: the customer’s explicit purchase deducts the stated points once, the article still receives staff review and rejected content receives a refund. Account assignment is operationally separate from the displayed service code. Do not assume a code identifies a publicly named account before actual delivery.
Always read the service’s current confirmation and terms. A revision request, a rejected article and a failed distribution item are different events. The report and points record should make the applicable outcome clear, rather than treating every exception as the same kind of refund.
Price the work your team would otherwise have to do
Include the internal cost of preparing the facts, fixing the destination page, approving quotations and reviewing the results. A low headline fee can leave all of that work to the customer. Conversely, a well-prepared customer may only need a focused service selection rather than a large campaign package.
A practical approach is to set a first-campaign ceiling, select only the relevant services and keep an approval checklist. Do not spread the same budget across extra markets simply to increase the row count. The better purchase is the one that matches the announcement, gives the buyer a useful next action and produces a delivery record your team can inspect.
Make completion part of the buying decision
Before confirming, check what the report will contain and when a published link is expected under the selected terms. Preserve the approved article, order selection and quoted price. Historical orders should retain their agreed values even when the catalogue later changes.
Open the actual links after delivery. A catalogue entry, a scheduled item or an original source post does not prove an external placement. Keep publication evidence separate from traffic, enquiries and other business measures so you can review both without confusing them.
GITEROUTE is a useful fit when you want a visible selection, a defined review path and item-level order progress. Build a shortlist at current listed prices, or request a clearly scoped campaign proposal if the release and market plan still need preparation.
